E.L.F Studio Flawless Finish Foundation * a review *

Hey lovelies,

I am here today with a liquid foundation review, the elf's studio Flawless finish foundation.
This is what it looks like:

Product description: ( from elf's website )
Achieve a flawless complexion with the silky smooth e.l.f studio flawless finish foundation. The lightweight and oil-free formula blends in naturally for a beautiful semi-matte finish. This liquid foundation applies easily and lasts all day for visibly brighter and radiant looking skin. Using our flawless finish foundation not only restores uneven skin textures and tones, but msot importantly, the SPF 15 protects your skin against harmful sun damage!

Availability:
Elf studio flawless finish foundation is available on elf's website ( http://eyeslipsface.com ). In Canada, some elf products can be found at various Zellers and winners locations.

Shade / price:
Elf's studio flawless finish foundation comes in 6 different shades and retails for $6 (USD) per 0.8oz.

Features:
- Shade: Sand,
- Foundation: liquid,
- Size: 0.8oz,
- Pump bottle.

Aplication:
Efl's studio flawless finish foundation is very liquid (runny) and dries quickly which makes it very difficult to apply evenly.
I found that using a stipple brush is the best way to apply this foundation.

Wear:
The lasting power of this foundation is very remarkable, it stays in place all day without the help of a primer. ( Althought I don't use it without a powder finish so maybe on it's own it won't last as long. ) The foundation felt heavy and left my skin feeling oily which is odd because my skin is more on the dry side.

Pros:
- Budget friendly,
- Pump bottle,
- Decent coverage,
- long lasting,
- SPF 15.

Cons:
- Not many shades to choose from,
- left my skin feeling oily,
- Hard to blend,
- felt heavy,
- strong smell,
- Swatches from elf's website are extremely OFF.

Overall review:
Overall , this is an OK foundation. This liquid foundation offers a decent coverage and comes with a pump. I dislike how hard it is to achieve an even look and it dries on blotchy. I picked out the wrong shade from e.l.f's website :( I decided to go with "sand" which is the second lightest shade to choose from. I don't have fair skin but my skin is light so I opted for the second lightest, turns out "sand" is way too dark for my skin tone, I should have choosen "porcelain" instead. :( The swatches on elf's website are always extremely Off, a swatch google search before I purchase is always a must.
I will not re-purchase this foundation, I didn't do anything good for my skin.
I give Elf's Studio flawless finish foundation 2,5 out of 5.

That is all for today,
Thanks for stopping,
Kisses and fireworks,

My first purchase from MARCELLE, not impress MATTE finish foundation *a review

 Hey lovelies,

I caved in... yeppp After hearing so many good feedback about the brand MARCELLE, I cave in and bought myself a Matte finish foundation.
I really wanted to try something from Marcelle and needed a foundation badly. ( bathroom spill, AWFUL experience.. foundation make up will stain your clothes.. ) Anyways, I decided to go for the foundation, plus it was on sale.
While browsing the Marcelle products, I couldn't really make up my mind between two foundation from Marcelle that were on sale. I went with the "MATTE finish" thinking it would save me the matte powder step when doing my make up in the am.

I was very disappointed to see that no testers were available, I couldn't find my shade just by looking at the bottle. Luckly the lady working at the counter opened a new bottle for me to try out.
After finding my PERFECT shade ( witch I did in an ease - Almond for reference ) I left the store a happy camper.

My first thought when I opened the product at home was the smells, it was a light "hand cream" kinda smell, not too overwhelming.
For a liquid foundation, Marcelle Matte finish has the perfect texture.

Before trying this product out, I liked everything about it.

NOW that I tried it out, my thoughts:
- It is a pain in the A$$ to apply, the formula is very sticky and extremely hard to blend,
-  My face looked blotchy after a couple of hours,
- Not long lasting, leaves marks on clothes and comes off onces you touch your face,
- Onces applied, looked like I went wild with a powder foundation and over did it,

I tried using this foundation over a primer see if it would last longer , NOPE.

Bottom line, I will not re-purchase this foundation and do not recommend it.
I am disappointed in my purchase and was really looking foward to trying out a product from MARCELLE. :(
Better luck next time I hope... :(

Have a great night,
Kisses and fireworks,
-xo

"FREEBIE MAIL" Maybelline FIT ME foundation chart

Hey lovelies,

Today the mail man left me this AWESOME freebie from MAYBELLINE new york.
This is a sample pack with info and coupons. YAYYY
This brochure makes finding your perfect shade EASY!  I received a small sample of each shade Maybelline FIT ME has to offer.

There is also two saving coupons: $1 off a foundation and $6 off when you purchase a foundation, concealer and powder.
Maybelline claims that "FIT ME" is the first shade-aligned system of foundation, powder, concealer and blush..
Oil-free, wax-free, filler-free formula that is so weightless it feels like you're not wearing makeup at all !

As you can see here, there isn't enough product to give it a "full face" try but enough to find your PERFECT shade.

I will definitely try this out. Maybelline always comes up with quality products that are budget friendly. ^_^
Did you guys try this "NEW"  foundation??? blush??? concealer??? powder??? If so, I would LOVE some feedback :)

A Foundation that might WOW you. * Revlon colorStay foundation, a review*

I am always on the hunt for the PERFECT foundation. Every other week, I purchase a new foundation with the hope that It might be THE ONE!!!
I was never a big fan of Revlon cosmetics, I don't think their products are awful but they never WOW'ed me.
After reading many positive reviews about this foundation, I thought I'd give it a go.

First off, I must say that this foundation for me is not "THE ONE" but it does a really good job.

I really like this foundation because:
-it is lightweight, you can truly feel naked under this foundation,
-it blends in very well, and if you choose the right color for your skin tone, NO one will ever notice that you are wearing foundation. It really looks like my natural skin!!
-It will stay on ALL day long, without the help of a primer,
-it is SPF 15.

What I don't like about this foundation:
-the coverage is alright, I have seen better coverage from a much cheaper foundation,
-It doesn't have a pump,
-it dries on kinda "shinny". ( a Mineral finishing veil is a MUST for me with this foundation )

Bottom line, I think this foundation is worth it.
I recommend buying this foundation online because it sells for much cheaper.
I paid $20 at shoppers :(

Benefit The foundation faker = SOFT skin *a Benefit some kind-a gorgeous review*

Let me introduce you to: Benefit's Some kind-a Gorgeous foundation faker.
Some kind-a gorgeous is a "one step" foundation, what I mean by "one step" is that it applies wet and dries to a powder finish.
It is TRULY one of kind!!! I have never seen any foundation like this one.
First off, I must point out that this foundation is perfect for the "good days", this foundation gives barely any coverage. I wear this foundation on my "good days" when my skin clear from acne or awful blemishes.
If you are looking for a HEAVY coverage, STAY AWAY!!!

This foundation is VERY lightweight, it's like wearing no foundation at all witch is Great, unless for some strange reason you like feeling your foundation?!?!?!
It comes in a adorable record container with a mirror and sponge applicator (that sucks to my opinion)

Some kind-a gorgeous comes in 3 different shades. Pink box for the original (medium), light pink/orange for lite and purple for deep.

I love this foundation because:

-it is lightweight,
-oil free,
-give me skin a "airbrush" look,
-makes my skin feel extremely smooth and soft,
-evens out of skin tone,
-I don't have to add powder to my foundation,
-wont break me out, very gentle to my sensitive skin.

Now what I don't like about this products:

-the price tag, pricey for a product that will not last me more then 3 weeks,
-the funky smell that lingers all day long,
-will not cover any active acne.

Will I re-purchase this product over and over again?!?!? Well most likely yes. to me, it's a must have... this product has the ability to make my skin look flawless whenever i don't have any major covering up to do.
you are probably wondering why i love this foundation so much when I only use it when my skin is clear, Whats the point right??  my skin tone is not even, i have red spots and benefit covers those up nicely. It makes my skin looks so flawless compare to other foundation, it truly does.

Some kind-a gorgeous will not cover any acne in my case and wearing concealer over/under doesn't do the same "perfect skin" effect.  ( maybe I haven't found the concealer that works well with this foundation ).

bottom line, benefit's some kind-a gorgeous foundation faker is a keeper in my book!!!

Want to buy this foundation???
you can purchase this foundation faker HERE
Shoppers drug mart do have this in stock (only in medium) + I got it on sale onces at shoppers for only $24.99 WHAT a BARGAIN!!!
This product retails for $28 USD

*** be careful if you choose to purchase this product on sites such as Ebay. I have seen lots of counterfeit benefit for sale there at cheap price...
