My first time - Joe Fresh cosmetics, A Canadian Brand eh!

Hey lovelies,

Tonight I want to share my thoughts about a "new to me" Canadian brand, Joe Fresh.
I have heard about Joe fresh a while back and purchased some of their products but never anything cosmetics related.
When I think of Joe fresh, I think Cute clothing for my toddler....
A while back while reading "nail blogs" I found out that Joe fresh made awesome nail polishes.
Browsing the aisles I spotted some really cute cosmetics products and couldn't help myself but to buy a few products to test out.
Would you like to see what I got?!!?? Well here it is:
 1 blush (Retails for $8)
2 Cheek tints, (Retails for $4 each)
1 Sheer lip crayon. (Retails for $6)
You must admit that the packaging are really cute..... But is the products any good??

 ************

First product I picked out was that insanely adorable Blush in the shade "bloom"
The packaging won me over. The plastic see through compact caught my eyes and I fell in love with it.
isn't it beautiful???
The second I got home, I literally sat down and admired the packaging for the longest time.
(While the bf was putting away the groceries.... ) :P
They have lots of shades to choose from and "bloom" isn't one I would have normally picked up but since I didn't have anything like it I thought I should give it a try.
At first I wasn't sure about the shade... I usually go for more "coral" shades when it comes to blushes but I am glad I picked this one instead.
I was scared that it might be a  little bit too "out there" of a color but it looks great on my light skin tone. YAYY!!
It's SOOO beautiful, here is another photo for your viewing pleasure. :P
hahaha, ok ENOUGH with this nonsense...
Not only is this blush beautiful (packaging wise), it's easy to apply and is long lasting.
Here is a swatch for you:

************

Now let's talk about the Cheek tints.
I got two of them because I couldn't make up my mind and choose one between two of the shades.
My bf got impatient and told me to get both... ( he knew this great debate going on in my head might last a while... )
Anyways.. I went with both and got "Peach" and "pink"
I have a love/hate.Hate.hate relationship with these cheek tints...
I love the shades and they look great on my cheeks BUT they feel sooo greasy.
and they smell...
I have used them a couple of times but I always find myself whipping them off after a few minutes.
I can't stand the feeling of "greasy cheeks" it's nasty!!
it's a shame!!!
Left is "peach" and on the right "rose"

************

The last thing I got was a Sheer lip crayon.
I got this in the shade "candy".
I was hoping for a "candy" smell but it's odorless.
I usually shy away from bright lip colors but I was drawn to this for an unknown reason. ( Maybe I am coming out of my shell??! )
Anyways, this Sheer lip crayon is great!! It looks great, it applies on nicely, decent lasting power AND keeps my lips feeling hydrated.
Here is a swatch for you:
Isn't it pretty??

Overall I am pleased with "most" of my new Joe Fresh goodies.
I will definitely go back for some more products!!!
As long as I remember NOT to buy any cheek tints, No matter how pretty the shades are. :P

Well that's all for now, Thanks for stopping by,

Blush 'n go by Bonne Bell * a review *

Hey lovelies,

Today I am going to review Blush 'n go by Bonne Bell.
I found this blush duo at my local "Liquidation world" for $2, at that price I couldn't leave the store without it.
I tried looking for the original retail price online and from what I can see, this blush duo retails for $4 - $5.
I have no idea if this is a discontinued product from Bonne bell, but since I found it at "Liquidation world" It could be.
This is what the package looks like:

I was drawn to this product because of the packaging...
It looks like a little book and is the size of a chocolate bar..
It comes with a little brush applicator ( that is useless in my opinion ).
Package looks great but is cheaply made.

This blush duo comes with the following shades: Petal pink and Sheer raspberry.
Both shades looks great, they are not matte but they don't have much shimmers to them.
They are a bit chalky but for the price I won't complain...
Here is a swatch for you to see:

Overall this is a great product...
The price is right and the shades are gorgeous. :)

5 Products I regret buying *Summer edition*

Hey lovelies,

I have been lacking posts lately, I know I am a TERRIBLE blogger. Summer time is always family time for me, I spend most of my days playing with my daughter and my nights hanging out with grown ups.
I didn't buy much makeup this summer, this kinda contributes to my lack of blogging. :P
Today I thought I'd share with you 5 products I regret spending money on this summer. :( I love these kinds of posts, they always come in handy and save me money, so I thought I'd do the same and share my bad experiences.

*******************************************

#1. Hard candy Sheer envy face primer.
First product I regret spending money on is this face primer. I am a huge Hard candy fan, I love most of their products, especially the "glamoflauge", but this primer really disappoints me, it doesn't keep my makeup on any longer then usual nor does it make my skin smooth to the touch. All this primer does is create a layer of oil over my "dry" skin.
What do I recommend instead:
For a budget friendly face primer, I suggest you try L'oreal's Studio Secrets magic perfecting base.

***
#2 Elf's studio stipple brush.
Elf's brushes are very inexpensive and most of them are usually good quality for the price but this one didn't work for me. I regret buying this brush because of it's poor quality. The bristels are too filmsy to pick up any kind of powder and when used for liquid foundation it doesn't blend evenly.
What do I recommend instead:
If you really want to try a brush from elf, I suggest getting your hands on the powder brush from the studio line.

***

#3 Stila's oil-free tinted moisturizer.
I regret buying this because it feels way too heavy for a moisturizer. Even if this product is "oil-free" it makes my dry skin oily and shinny. It does have a decent coverage from a tinted moisturizer, but I found a cheaper tinted moisturizers that works much better.
What I recommend instead:
I recommend efl's tinted moisturizer, it sells for less than haft the cost of Stila's and works so much better.

***

#4 Hard Candy blush in the color " Living doll "
The only reason I regret buying this baked blush is because of it's shade. The product itself works great but this color doesn't work well on my skin tone. On my cheeks this blush looks like a pink disco ball. I am attracted to shimmery blushes, they give my face such a beautiful glow but this one is just too much.
What I recommend instead:
If you want a shimmery blush from hard candy, I suggest you try the fox in a box (spicy & sweet).

***

#5 elf's all over cover stick.
I regret buying this cover stick because it covers nothing! It doesn't hide any acne scars, dark circles, NOTHING!!!  To make things worst, it has a very thick and greasy like texture.
What I recommend instead:
I suggest you get your hands on either "glamoflauge" from hard candy or "dream mousse concealer" from Maybelline. (I will do a review on both soon, they are both great concealers)

Well that's it for now,
These are my personal opinions, all of the products listed above didn't work for me but they might work wonders for you.

*Battle of the BLUSH* Hard candy vs Benefit

Hey lovelies,

How about a BATTLE OF THE BLUSH (in a box).

**********

BENEFIT CORALISTA VS HARD CANDY FOX IN A BOX

I will be rating these two blushes on the following factors:
 Packaging,
 Price,
 Quality,
and the brush\applicator.

 Packaging:
Benefit, Coralista: Love the packaging of this blush, very cute, sturdy and well made.
the only downfall to me was the fact that the lid isn't secured in place when closed.
Packaging, I give CORALISTA 8\10

Hard Candy, Fox in a box (spicy & Sweet): Very cute packaging , lightweight and well made.
I like this packaging over the Benefit one because of it's magnet lid enclosure.
Packaging, I give FOX IN A BOX 9\10

Price:
Benefit, Coralista: Benefit's blushes sells for roughly $38 here in Canada.
Not very budget friendly for a blush.
Price, I give CORALISTA 5\10

Hard Candy, Fox in a box (spicy & Sweet):  Fox in a box sells for roughly $6 here in Canada.
I find the price very reasonable and budget friendly.
Price, I give FOX IN A BOX 10\10

Quality:

Benefit, Coralista: I love this blush so much and wear this 6 days out of 7. The quality of the product
is amazing!!! It goes on smooth, has a bit of a shimmer ( just the right amount ).
Smells AMAZING and long lasting. I have nothing but good things to say about this blush!
Quality, I give CORALISTA 10\10

Hard Candy, Fox in a box (spicy & Sweet):  This blush is alright. Goes on smooth.
Not as long lasting as the Benefit's blush and very messy to use.
Quality, I give FOX IN A BOX 6\10

(top-hard candy, bottom-Benefit)

Brush\Applicator:

Benefit, Coralista: I love the brush that comes with this blush. I don't usually use applicators
that comes with my makeup but this brush works wonderfully in my opinion.
Extremely soft to the touch and gets the job done.
The only downfall to me is that it is shaped a little too boxy and makes the application
a bit of a challenge at first. Ones you get use to the brush, works very well.
Brush, I give CORALISTA 9\10

Hard Candy, Fox in a box (spicy & Sweet): The brush\applicator that comes with this blush
is useless. You can hardly get any product on the brush and is very hard to use.
I have tried many times to use the brush that comes with the blush but to me it's garbage.
( I gave it to my daughter as a play brush )
Brush\applicator, I give FOX IN A BOX 2\10
The only reason why I gave points to this brush is because it is ADORABLE. :)

Who's the winner??? DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....
BENEFIT'S CORALISTA!!!

Bottom line, both blushes are great and I will re-purchase both of them.

Hope you enjoyed,
Kisses, hugs and Fireworks.
