Elf - studio matte lip color / coral * a review *

Hey lovelies,

How is everyone doing this glorious Friday?? Great I hope. :)
Today I am going to review elf's matte lip color in the shade coral.

Product description: (from elf's website)
This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen. The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips.

Cost: Elf's matte lip color retails for $3 each on elf's website and available in 6 different shades.

pigmentation: elf's matte lip color in the shade coral offers a great pigmentation and very buildable.
Here is a swatch for you:

Wear: This lip color is not long lasting. It will leave residues to anything your lips makes contact with.

Application: goes on smoothly but difficult to apply evenly. The pencil form helps create a precise application.

Packaging: elf's matte lip color comes in a jumbo sized lip pencil with a twist tip to distribute product. This lip pencil comes with a sharpener at the end.

Pros:
- great pigmentation,
- budget friendly,
- comes with a sharpener.

Cons:
- easily rubs off,
- not moisturizing,
- settles in cracks,
- hard to apply evenly.

Overall review:
Overall this is a great matte lip pencil for the price. Very matte to the application and extremely pigmented, a little goes a long way. Glides on smoothly but takes a little effort to apply evenly. Like all matte lip products it is best to use on smooth lips, if used on dry/chapped lips product will settle in cracks. One thing I noticed, this lip pencil is not moisturizing at all.

Tip: Swatches on elf's website are extremely off, I recommend to google swatches for true color.

Well that is all for now, Be back later tonight with a NOTD post :)
HAPPY FRIDAY everyone,
Kisses and fireworks,
Comme3pommes,
xx

    1. It's great. I have no idea why they call this shade "coral" it's more a pinkish nude-ish shade.

    1. We don't have an elf in Canada either.
There is two stores that I know of that carries this brand but it's often more expensive than ordering online.

Thanks for the invitation ;) I will participate =)
