E.L.F Studio Flawless Finish Foundation * a review *

Hey lovelies,

I am here today with a liquid foundation review, the elf's studio Flawless finish foundation.
This is what it looks like:

Product description: ( from elf's website )
Achieve a flawless complexion with the silky smooth e.l.f studio flawless finish foundation. The lightweight and oil-free formula blends in naturally for a beautiful semi-matte finish. This liquid foundation applies easily and lasts all day for visibly brighter and radiant looking skin. Using our flawless finish foundation not only restores uneven skin textures and tones, but msot importantly, the SPF 15 protects your skin against harmful sun damage!

Availability:
Elf studio flawless finish foundation is available on elf's website ( http://eyeslipsface.com ). In Canada, some elf products can be found at various Zellers and winners locations.

Shade / price:
Elf's studio flawless finish foundation comes in 6 different shades and retails for $6 (USD) per 0.8oz.

Features:
- Shade: Sand,
- Foundation: liquid,
- Size: 0.8oz,
- Pump bottle.

Aplication:
Efl's studio flawless finish foundation is very liquid (runny) and dries quickly which makes it very difficult to apply evenly.
I found that using a stipple brush is the best way to apply this foundation.

Wear:
The lasting power of this foundation is very remarkable, it stays in place all day without the help of a primer. ( Althought I don't use it without a powder finish so maybe on it's own it won't last as long. ) The foundation felt heavy and left my skin feeling oily which is odd because my skin is more on the dry side.

Pros:
- Budget friendly,
- Pump bottle,
- Decent coverage,
- long lasting,
- SPF 15.

Cons:
- Not many shades to choose from,
- left my skin feeling oily,
- Hard to blend,
- felt heavy,
- strong smell,
- Swatches from elf's website are extremely OFF.

Overall review:
Overall , this is an OK foundation. This liquid foundation offers a decent coverage and comes with a pump. I dislike how hard it is to achieve an even look and it dries on blotchy. I picked out the wrong shade from e.l.f's website :( I decided to go with "sand" which is the second lightest shade to choose from. I don't have fair skin but my skin is light so I opted for the second lightest, turns out "sand" is way too dark for my skin tone, I should have choosen "porcelain" instead. :( The swatches on elf's website are always extremely Off, a swatch google search before I purchase is always a must.
I will not re-purchase this foundation, I didn't do anything good for my skin.
I give Elf's Studio flawless finish foundation 2,5 out of 5.

That is all for today,
Thanks for stopping,

NOTD - Phoebe, Swedish nude & Pearl Harbor

Hey Lovelies,
How is everyone doing this Glorious Thursday ??
It's been a while since I posted anything new to my blog, I am such a terrible blogger... I've been crazy busy lately but everything seems to be back to normal so I should be back to blogging on a regular basist soon just like old days, hahahah.
I am moving this summer, my bf is being transfered for work, and I think we may have found our "dream" house, HOW exciting!!!
I will try to blog as much as I possibly can but next week I might not do much blogging.. my mother is coming over for the week ( Yayyy, last time I saw my mom was at christmas ) and I am going to visite my "possible" futur beach front house. =)
Anyways, I am here today with a NOTD post inspired by the snow.... ( even if theres barely any here at the moment )
I call this manicure, melting snow.

Pretty neat eh?? I love how it turned out it really reminds me of melting snow :)
If you are interested in a step by step tutorial I would be more than happy to show you gals how I create this manicure. :)
For this mani I used the following polishes:

Zoya - Phoebe,
O.P.I - Swedish nude,
Sinful Colors - Pearl Harbor.

I hope you enjoyed my "melting snow" manicure,
Until next time,

Annabelle Glitterama liquid eyeliner

Hey lovelies,

How is everyone doing, great I hope.
I feel like it's been forever since I did a blog post, it's been what, 3 days?? Feels like weeks.....
Anyways, I am here today with a liquid liner review from Annabelle cosmetics a wonderful Canadian brand that I adore.

 Product Description: (Annabelle's website)
It's long lasting formula is loaded with sparkling micro-glitter particles that catch and reflect the light. It's fine, tapered brush applicator picks up the maximum amount of sparkles and distributes the eyeliner smoothly and evenly.

Availability:
Annabelle glitterama liquid eyeliner comes in 15 different shades and is available at most drugstores in Canada. US resident can order online at: annabellecosmetics.ca

Features:
- Shade: Celestial Sky
- Size: 4g
- liquid eyeliner.

Cost:
Annabelle glitterama liquid eyeliner retails for $7,95 (CAD). I purchased in a kit ( glitteramma liquid eyeliner & Metallic Kohl eyeliner pencil ) on sale for $4,99 ( reg $7,99 )

pigmentation / shade:
This glitter liquid liner is nicely pigmented and distributes loads of glitters in one sweep. " Celestial Sky " is a liquid eyeliner packed with tons of teal micro-glitters.

( Left to right - Annabelle metallic kohl eyeliner - Glitterama over metallic kohl - glitterama alone )

Wear:
This liquid eyeliner applies nicely and is easy to use. Long lasting but takes forever to dry and tend to transfer to the crease when wearing on the upper lash line.

Pros:
- budget friendly,
- Variety of shades to choose from,
- great applicator,

Cons:
- transfers,
- takes a while to dry,

Overall review:
Overall this is a great liquid eyeliner. I don't like the effect when wore on it's own , I love it on top of any other eyeliner. I recommend to apply at least an hour ( even with a eyelid primer ) before leaving the house because it takes ages to dry and will transfer to the crease if worn on the upper lash line.
I usually combine this glitter liner over Annabelle's metallic Kohl eyeliner pencil in the shade 172 Curacao but it looks great on other eyeliners as well.
I give this liquid liner 3.5 out of 5.

NOTD - Sala nail strips + Recent Hauls

Hey lovelies,

How is everyone doing this wonderful Sunday?? Great I hope.
I am here today with a NOTD post as well as my recent hauls.
Last week-end I bought Sala nail strips at Lawton for dirt cheap and decided today was the day to put them to the test. Glad I got them cheap because they didn't last very long. =(
I doubt I will ever re-purchase nail strips, they are fun and and applies in a matter of minutes but I rather do my own nail art because they didn't last long.
I would recommend for a night out because they are cute but they won't stick to your nails long enough to really enjoy them....
I got them in gold Zebra print, Aren't they adorable??

And now onto my recent hauls... I got a few at the beginning of the week and the rest this week-end:

At shoppers I found in a clearance bin, Revlon : Sunshine Sparkle for $3 and Nicole by OPI : Scandal secrets & sparkle for $4.99.
At Superstore I got two Rimmel polishes for $1.94 each (on sale): Camouflage & grey matter.

At winners I found this set of 3 LA girl metal polish for $6 in the following shades (from left to right): metallic olive , bronze medal , sterling silver.

At shoppers I got this Physicians formula ( nude ) on sale for $10,79 and the Laura Mercier eye basic in the shade : Bisque I got at winners for $12.

At superstore I got this Revlon lipstick in the shade : blush on sale for $3.
Benefit girl meets pearl for $17 and Bourjois Volumizer mascara for $10, both purchased on sale at Shoppers.

Well that is all I have for your guys now,
Thanks for stopping by,
