I am here today with a foundation review, been a while since I wrote a foundation review so I thought, Why not!!
How are you lovelies today?? Great I hope :)
I had a wonderful day, this afternoon I went shopping for a swap and it was loads of fun plus I found a few goodies for myself. ;)
Onto the review, I will talk about L'oreal's Visible lift firming makeup.
Product description:
L'oreal visible lift firming make up is a liquid foundation with full coverage that flawlessly evens skin tone and firms your skin without settling into lines and wrinkles. This formula with Por-retical A and x-tensium continuously smoothes lines and wrinkles for yougner-looking skin.Features:
- Shade: Natural beige- SPF: 17
- Size: 30Ml
Coverage:
This foundation offers a medium to full coverage, very buildable. With this foundation I often skip the concealer and primer because if offers a great coverage and smooths out my skin.
Cost:
L'oreal visible lift firming makeup retails for $9,99 (CAD). I purchased on sale for $4,95.
Availability:
I did a bit of research and I believe this foundation is discontinued and replaced with the L'oreal Visible lift serum absolute. It is still available to order on various websites at a discounted price.
Packaging:
L'oreal visible lift firming makeup comes in a frosted glass bottle with a pump. This pump bottle holds 30 ml of product.
Application:
This foundation applies nicely with both a brush and fingers. Blends effortlessly and dries rather quickly.
Pros:
- pump included,
- firming solution,
- smooths out fine lines,
- doesn't settle in small lines,
- budget friendly,
- good coverage,
- SPF 17.
Cons:
- left my skin feeling dry,
- transfers to clothing,
- sticky to the touch,
- feels heavy,
- discontinued, hard to find,
- dries darker.
I have for you some before and after photos to show how well this foundation covers most blemishes.
Overall review:
Overall this is a great foundation, doesn't settle in fine lines but feels heavy.
L'oreal claims that this foundation is firming and they are right!! This foundation applies nicely and offer a good coverage. Dries to a powder finish but is sticky to the touch. Good lasting power but transfers to clothing. I noticed that this foundation dries darker... this may be be a problem for a few, especially the ones with fair/pale skin tone. I would recommend this foundation to someone who are self-conscious about fine lines because this foundation sits over them instead of inside them. Also I would recommend to someone who doesn't suffer from dry skin because I had to discontinue using this foundation, it was drying my skin and daily moisturizer wouldn't fix it.
Overall I give this foundation a 3.0 / 5

Great review.
ReplyDeleteI have been using the Visible Lift Line Minimizing foundation for about 6-7 months now. I intersperse it with my Revlon ColorStay, sometime mixing the 2 depending on how much coverage I want. I use the L'oreal for most days. The new Visible Lift is probably not as drying as the Visibly Firming one. The Firming 'magic' (to late to be technical LOL) is what dries out the skin.
That is good news, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI must check out that visible lift!!
