NOTD - Diva in the pool & Open seas \ Tape manicure + Tutorial.

Hey lovelies,

I am here tonight with very simple tape manicure tutorial.
This is what I came up with:

For this Manicure you will need the following:
- 2 polishes, ( I used: Nicole by OPI - Diva in the pool & Sinful colors - Open seas )
- Masking tape or regular scotch tape,
- a fast drying top coat.

First thing you want to do is cut thin stripes of tape.
Once you tape is all ready to use, paint your nails with the main color (of your choice).
- Depending on your choice of polish you may want to use a top coat. I used sinful color - open seas which  requires 2 generous coats so I decided to go ahead and add a layer of fast drying top coat (Seche Vite) to speed up the process a little.

Now that your nails are completely dry, lets add the stripes of tape, it should look like this:
Now that your tape is in place you can go ahead and add a layer of your second polish. ( I used Nicole by OPI - Diva in the pool ). I suggest you use a polish that is very opaque and only needs one layer that way there is less chance of a screw up when you remove the tape.
How it should look like this:
Now gently remove the tape. Don't worry if the lines are a little rough, adding a layer of topcoat should smooth it out.
This is what the final product should look like: ( you can probably tell I didn't add my topcoat before taking this shot, the lines aren't as smooth )

VOILA!!! A cute stripes manicure using tape.

Here are a few photos of this rocking new manicure:

I often do "stripes" tape manicure and wanted to add a little something to this one and this is what I came up with:
Using decorative nail tape that I purchased on ebay a while back for dirt cheap. (the ends are sticking out a little because I took this photo before adding a layer of topcoat to keep them in place)
You can purchase the striping decorative nail stickers at Bornpretty.com as well but they are a bit more pricey (maybe better quality)
