Spectro HydraCare / Blemish-Prone skin * A review *

Hey lovelies,

I am going to review this moisturizer that I have been using for a couple of months now. I had my fair share of bad experiences with facial moisturizers before and since I found one that works for me, I thought it would be a good idea to share.

Spectro HydraCare Facial moisturizer / Blemish-Prone skin

From Spectro website:

Use every day, morning and night, after cleansing with Spectro Jel® Cleanser for Blemish-Prone skin.
  • Developed in consultation with Dermatologists and is ideal for even the most sensitive skin
  • Fragrance & colour free
  • Clinically-tested hypoallergenic
  • Gentle, non-irritating
  • Non-comedogenic (will not clog pores)
  • Non-greasy
  • Available in 140mL size
My Story:
I always struggled with facial moisturizers due to my extreme sensitive skin.
When I purchased this moisturizer, to be honest, I had little to no hope it would help.
I always had this issues, after a couple of days of applying moisturizer, my face would react to it.
Now, I suffer from dry skin, (dry patches usually on my forehead) and skipping the daily moisturizer was challenging. ( Dry patches or pimples/red spots/ rashes...?? ) Of course, The dry skin was the less painful....  I would have to carefully apply moisturizer to the dry areas ONLY!
It was too much work if you ask me!

"I was really glad when I tried this moisturizer ,all over my face, and my skin hadn't react to it."

My thoughts:
After using this moisturizer daily I noticed something different, it wasn't breaking me out, unlike all the other moisturizers I've tried before.
To make things better... after a couple, well more like a few ( it didn't happen overnight ) weeks of using this product, I saw major improvement, My skin had a more even tone, less red spots.
For the first time ever, my skin was nice enough to go out without wearing ANY kind of makeup.

Pros:
- Improved the look of my skin,
- Scent free,
- Lightweight,
- Leave the skin smooth to the touch.

Cons:
- Takes a while for the skin to absorb completely,
- a bit expensive for such a small bottle ($15).

**Bottom line, I really love this moisturizer. After using this daily, I can't imagine life without it.
Would I recommend this?? of course
Will I re-purchase?? No doubt about it.

Uh oh Stinkers!!!!

Hey lovelies,
I thought I'd share with you all 3 awful creams. If  you're like me and suffer from extremely dry skin during winter time, you depend on hydrating body/hands creams to soothe your skin.

I want to share with you these 3 creams because to me they are worthless. I cannot stand to use any of them just because they STINK.
They might work wonders for your skin but I cannot stand smelling this awful....lol

#3 St. Yves - 24 hour Moisture - advanced body moisturizer
This cream is not my favorite because it smells like plastic... seriously... hehe
I emptied the tube and replaced the content with St. Yves vitamin E cream.
24 hour moisture works really great, it really keeps me skin hydrated but I had to stop using it because of the plastic smell... It's overwhelming.
** Note that I love St.Yves products, I used many of them without having any issues. This is about  "24 hour moisture moisturizer" ONLY.

#2 Vaseline creamy - Problem skin Therapy
Ok, I love Vaseline products soooo much, especially their hand creams but this cream is AWFUL!!
I was attracted by the name "problem skin therapy" but again this product smells too awful to use. I can't really describe the smell but it's bad enough that I had to discontinued using this cream.
I did noticed a difference with my skin appearance after using it but the smell gave me headaches. ( literally )

#1 Zim's crack creme
Ok, I have never heard of Zim's crack creme until now.
this is the WORST cream EVER!
This stuff smells SO bad. My mom and I tried it for the first time yesterday and the smell was so strong that we had to wash our hands TWICE after using this.
I was intrigued by the name "CRACK CREME" , a little ironic...
The label itself looks a little sketchy, this cream is heading to the trash.!!!

Next time I purchase a body/hand cream, I will smell it before hand. hehehe.
Did you ever purchased a cream that smelled so bad you had to throw it out?

No more pimples OVERNIGHT. *a Mario Badescu, Drying cream review*

Some of you may be familiar with the brand Mario Badescu, for the ones who are not, Mario Badescu is a skin care brand that carries everything from moisturizers to serums... Mario Badescu's products have been part of my daily routine for a very long time now and I could never go back.

For now I am going to talk to you about the  Mario Badescu "Drying cream". I have been suffering from moderate
acne due to my work conditions and I have tried my fair share of antibiotics and creams to reduce and cure my acne. Nothing worked until I discovered this "Drying Cream"

Mario Bedscu's drying cream is a treatment that reduces the appearance of pimples overnight. All you need is a dab onto the affected area before going to bed and you wake up to a smaller pimple or even NO PIMPLE AT ALL.
I use it every time I feel a breakout coming out and it works WONDERS, plus this cream can be use as a concealer underneath your foundation. This Drying cream is great for all skin type.

The drying cream retails for $14 USD per 0,5oz and can be purchased at the Mario Badescu website *see below for link*  as well as other places such as amazon and Ebay...
This jar should last me over a year, literally.
Here you can see what the cream itself looks like.
This is what it looks like when applied to the skin.

Here is the original description from their website: Acne cream that conceals! Drying Cream is an effective treatment to dry up small under the surface bumps and pimples. Just a few dabs smoothed on the erupted areas prevent pimples from getting larger and spreading out of control. Aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples.

For allergies here is a list of the ingredients: Deionized Water, Zinc Oxide,Aloe, Beeswax,Cetyl Alcohol,Lemon Extract, Colloidal Sulfur,Ervol,Octyl Palmitate,Ichthammol,Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide,Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylene Glycol
